Coaching sessions can be conducted by phone, email or in person at
my office. Sessions in my office are scheduled for 90 minutes. If you
ask experts, they will tell you that many of the functions of the body
and brain are set to operate in cycles of approximately 90 minutes.
It is called an ultradian rhythm. According to Dr. Roseanne Armitage
at the University of Michigan, our bodies are set for performance of
most tasks in 90 minute cycles. Staying in tune with body cycles helps
maximize the experience and aligns us with peak performance.
I have discovered that this time frame is very effective and encourages
a successful outcome. 90 minutes creates the opportunity for each client
to move through the process at their own pace and allows time to reinforce
the insights gained during the session.

Intuition is often used in conjunction
with traditional medical modalities. I work with physicians, psychiatrists,
psychotherapists
and physical therapists as an intuitive practitioner to help address
some of the contributing factors in their patient’s illness.
I work with pre and post surgical treatments, as well as, grief, anxiety
and chronic illness to name a few. Their patients come to me and together
we explore the metaphor of how life choices, thoughts, beliefs and
habitual patterns may be a significant factor in the role of illness
in their life. Together we look to reframe the situation as an opportunity
to transform and grow. In 20 years, I have not had one client who was
willing to reject any single experience in their life. They have all
said that the gifts the experiences revealed were far greater than
the suffering or stress they had to endure.
Intuitive Consulting can also be useful as self work for the spiritually
aware.

I work
with professional, amateur and recreational athlete. We work together
to develop and enhance focus, mental clarity, concentration, relaxation
and motivation. Peak Performance Skills are easy to learn. Clients
can experience shifts that are immediate, reliable, effortless and
lasting. These skills transfer seamlessly to their sport and help
them achieve a more successful, enjoyable athletic experience.

The same techniques listed above are also extremely effective in
academic settings. When the MindBody is in a state of “relaxed alertness” otherwise
known as “The Zone” comprehension, memory and creativity
are enhanced. Simply stated, when we are relaxed, we learn.
According to Dr. Carla Hannaford when stressed or frustrated, the
heart rate pattern was shown to become incoherent, causing incoherent
patterns
in the brain. These incoherent patterns decreased the brain’s
ability to take in information and act on it appropriately. The ability
to learn is greatly reduced during an incoherent state. Mihalyi Czikszentmihalyi
coined the term “FLOW” for this
state of coherence.

Stress Management Training

From a biological perspective, our body’s primary function is
to protect us, allowing us to survive as long as possible. However,
stress is different than survival. Both survival and stress set up
incoherent patterns in the heart and brain, allowing for quick reactions
to danger, but decreasing the system’s ability to learn, remember
or create.
Stress:
• Is useless for actual survival because it depletes and harms
the body.
• Inhibits our freedom to grow physically, emotionally, intellectually
and spiritually
• Activates behaviors which alienate us from love
• Is the progenitor of depression, hyperactivity, memory loss, learning
difficulties, and diseases like cancer and multiple sclerosis.

I use simple techniques to “remind” the body to “return” to
its optimal state of wellness.
These techniques can be learned in one session and reinforced in
just a few minutes a day. The techniques can be useful in the workplace
to increase productivity, effectiveness and improve interpersonal
relationships.

is the only constant”. Change is inevitable. Learning how to

are experiencing an unprecedented technological acceleration.
We are constantly challenged to change or go.
Instead, we can choose to Change AND Grow.
